Introduction:
After graduating from college, I worked as a marketing intern in various pro sports teams in the United States. From there I worked as a market analyst for a famous fashion boutique in Hawaii called Aloha Rag. I was responsible for the operation of the website and customer support. After finishing a marketing internship at Hilton hotel in Australia, entered Gamloeft Japan in September of 2007. There I was responsible for managing the website used to download the games onto the flip phone.

In November, 2010 I joined Playfish (Electronic Arts) Japan as the 2nd member to help grow the company in Japan. Worked as the game producer for Restaurant City and player support for FIFA World Class Soccer. In July of 2013 I joined Supercell to opened Supercell Japan.

At Supercell I performed a wide range of tasks including hiring, setting up the new office, release of new games in Japan. I also was responsible for managing the Clash of Clans booth at Tokyo Game Show and Hay Day Cafe. In 2017, October I moved to the main office in Helsinki and worked on community for Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. Also, helped launch Brawl Stars globally and Clash Quest to beta. In May of 2021 I left Supercell to become self-employed.

Career Story: I graduated from The College of Willam and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. (Major: Marine Biology ->Accounting->Marketing)

After college I joined a professional sports team in North Carolina as a marketing intern. I worked on various marketing tasks in ice hockey, arena football and baseball. Anywhere from making the pamphlets to obtaining new adevertisers, to managing half-time events on game-day. I was even the mascot at the game. Below is the actual picture of the arena I used to work at.

After finishing the internship, I moved to Hawaii and worked for a famous fashion boutique called “Aloha Rag”. (Very famous celebrities used to come here) I was in-charge of managing the English website and customer support. I also helped create the loyalty program from scratch.

Then I moved to Australia to finish a marketing internship at the Hilton, and I was thinking of next steps when I saw an advertisement for a job opening at Gameloft Japan. At that time I was torn between 3 choices. 1. Go to Melbourne as planned 2. Go to a pastry chef school in Europe 3. Go interview at Gameloft Japan.

What helped solidify my decision was my love for games. I still remember the day when I played Dragon Quest and how much it has moved me. I never thought I would get an opportunity to work in the gaming industry because I tried programming and hated it. I decided to take a chance and fly to Japan to take the interview since I felt I would regret it for the rest of my life.

I received a job offer from Gameloft, and I worked on managing the website for game download and working on SEO. The experience helped me learned what type of games sell in Japan. (I don’t want to work on movie IP or unpopular sports game ever again)

At Gameloft, I realized the potential of social gaming (and actually pushed internally to shift our focus, but was told those weren’t real games) So I decided to join Playfish Japan (Electronic Arts) as the 2nd member to help build the team from the ground up. Worked as a producer for Restaurant City in Japan and also helped setup the customer service/community for FIFA World Class Soccer. (Number 1 game on the Gree platform)
